The Amrit Brikshya Andolan registration ended on 31 July 2024, the registered candidates can now upload their photo of planting the saplings on the official website, the last date to upload the photo is 15 August 2024. Amrit Brikshya Andolan Photo Upload 2024

The Assam government initiated the Amrit Brikshya Andolan on 8 June 2023 to boost the tree economy of the state. The scheme encourages the Assam citizens to plant various species of plants and contribute to continuing & maintaining the greenery of the State. 

Under the scheme, the government implemented the Jan Bhagidari model, where the Assam Citizens registered for the scheme on the official Amrit Brikshya Andolan portal, get free seeds of various plants, plant the seeds, and upload the geo-tagged and time-stamped pictures on the portal. 

This year, the Assam government began the online registration for the Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024 on 15 July 2024, which lasted till 31 July 2024. Now, the government has opened the photo uploading section for the registered citizens on the portal from 01 August 2024 to 15 August 2024. 

The Assam government aims to plant 3 crore seedlings during 2024-25 through this initiative and started the campaign with Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam to encourage Assam citizens to plant a tree to honor or pay tribute to their mother and mother nature.  

Steps to Photo Uploading for the Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024?

The registered candidates who haven’t received the free seeds can expect the seed distribution to their area distribution points between 01 August 2024 to 12 August 2024. The Assam citizens or groups who have completed the seed plantation of the distributed seeds can upload their geo-tagged and time-stamped image on the official website by following the below steps:

• First, visit the official website of Amrit Brikshya Andolan mentioned above.
• Next, click the Login on the homepage to log in to your Amrit Briksha Account.
• On the login page, enter your registered mobile number and the generated OTP/registration number.
• Now you will be directed to your profile dashboard, look for Upload Photo options.
• Click the Upload photo option, select your plant from the available plant list, and select the clear photo from the gallery to upload on the website.
• Complete the photo uploading process by clicking the submit button.  

The registered Assam citizens and groups can also upload photos from the Amrit Brikshya Andolan mobile application when they click the images. 

What’s next after the Photo Uploading of Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024?

After the Amrit Brikshya Andolan registration and photo uploading process, the candidates can download the Pledge certificate from the official website. The certificate proves your participation in Assam’s Amrit Brikshya Andolan and pledges to protect the planted seedlings.

The Amrit Brikshya Andolan Certificate includes the participant’s name, program name, pledge, and certificate date. The registered Assam Citizens and groups can download the Certificate through the following steps:

• First, visit the Amrit Brikshya Andolan official website mentioned above.
• Next, log into your Amrit Brikshya Account through login credentials and your profile dashboard will open.
• Next, click the “take a pledge” or certificate option on the dashboard. 
• Next, click the download option given in the certificate section.
• The Amrit Brikshya Andolan Certificate will be downloaded to your system in PDF format.

Benefits of Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024

The Assam government Amrit Brikshya Andolan initiative benefits the registered candidates and state in the following way:

• Financial benefit: The registered Assam citizens get the financial benefit of ₹100 per planted seed under the Amrit Brikshya Andolan and the beneficiaries will be awarded ₹200 for each plant they protect and ensure their survival for three years. 
• New Job Opportunities: The government aims to boost the tree economy of Assam through this initiative, boosting the raw materials availability for the wood-based industries and generating new employment opportunities for the citizens.
• Promoting Tree Plantation and Community Involvement: Through the Amrit Brikshya Andolan, the government promotes the tree plantation practice among the citizens and various groups like NGO’s Self Help groups, educational institutions, etc. boost the community’s involvement in environmental-friendly practices.
