The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has announced the lottery registration to provide affordable houses to eligible Mumbai citizens. People living in Mumbai who dream of having their own home but don’t have enough funds can use this opportunity to register for the lottery system.
MHADA Lottery 2024 Registration
The MHADA has published an advertisement for a Housing lottery for more than 2000 apartments available at prime locations in Mumbai, such as Powai, Malad, Wadala, and many more. Under this housing scheme, the authority offers houses to eligible citizens under the PM Awas Yojana.
Through the MHADA Lottery, Maharashtra citizens, especially those from economically weaker sections, will get affordable housing. The Authority has opened the application MHADA Lottery 2024 from 09 August 2024 the applicants will be able to submit their online application till the last date, 04 September up to 11:45 PM.
The winner of the MHADA lottery will be selected through a random draw; the participants can register for the lottery in different income categories. According to the officials, the authority will announce the MHAD2024 lottery result on 13 September 2024 around 11 AM.
The applicants will get a refund of their payment when they don’t get the house in the Lottery. The authority will process the refund of such applicants on 18 September 2024.

Flat Distribution and Locations MHADA Lottery Housing Scheme 2024
The MHADA reports suggest that the highest number of flats are available for the middle-income group category. Most of the apartments are 2 BHK and 1 BHK available for EWS and LIG (lower-income Group) categories and the homey & big 3 BHK apartments come under the HIG (High-income Group) category.

MHADA Lottery 2024 Eligibility Criteria
People living in Maharashtra who meet the following eligibility requirements can take part in the MHADA Lottery 2024:
- You must have the Maharashtra Domicile.
- Your family income must meet the following income threshold according to the income group:
- People with annual family incomes between ₹6 lakh and ₹9 lakh come under the LIG category.
- People with annual family income between ₹9 lakh and ₹12 lakh come under the MIG category
- People with annual family income between ₹12 lakh glass under the HIG category.
Remember, the income of the couple is counted in the family income, not the individual income of siblings and parents.
