The Hundred Men’s Competition 2024

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the match fixtures of the most anticipated The Hundred’s 2024 competition. The board organized the 100-ball franchise cricket tournament, which involved eight teams of men and Women. 

It’s been four years since the ECB has been organizing the Hundreds to celebrate cricket and the spirit of cricket among the existing county cricket clubs.  This year, the ECB has announced the fourth season of the Hundreds from 23 July 2024 to 18 August 2024.

The following eight teams that competed in the previous Hundred’s season are back for the 2024 Hundred’s tournament:

• London Spirit
• Birmingham Phoenix
• Manchester Originals
• Oval Invincibles
• Northern Superchargers
• Southern Brave
• Welsh fire
• Trent Rockets

The above teams are operated separately by their respective franchises from the existing county cricket club representing cities or large areas of Wales and England. The major cities of England and Wales will host the tournament at the team’s home ground. 

The Hundred Men’s Competition 2024 Format & Structure 

The Hundred’s tournament has eight city-based teams representing their cities, which follows the double-robin league format. The men’s teams will play a total of 32 matches in the Men’s Competition, the tournament will have a total of 64 fixtures including women’s team matches.

According to the Hundred’s 2024 structure, each team will play four matches at their home ground and four matches away from their home ground. Each team will play one match against each team in the tournament, followed by one bonus match against their nearest regional rivals of the Hundred’s.

The tournament will have a league stage, followed by an eliminator and final. The team that topped the table directly goes to the finals and the second and third teams play the eliminator round. The winner of the eliminator round faces the finalists to decide the champions of the Hundred’s.
