The 2026 edition of SummerSlam will be held at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and it will take a page out of the WrestleMania playbook and get the two night treatment, WWE announced Thursday. It will be the 39th annual SummerSlam and is scheduled to take place as a two night event on 1 August and 2 August 2026

WWE SummerSlam is expanding to two nights in 2026, the professional wrestling juggernaut brings its classic blockbuster event to the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on 1 August Saturday and 2 August Sunday. WWE will also have a host of fan and community events, leading up to SummerSlam similar to the WWE World during WrestleMania. 

After the announcement might come as a consolation for Minneapolis, which had been landed on Las Vegas. This will be the first time because Minnesota has hosted a premium live event for WWE since 2019. 

The SummerSlam is one of the WWE’s premier pay per view events that has been taking place every year since 1988. The event has grown in popularity and success in recent years, starting in 2021, it was moved from arenas to NFL stadium just like WrestleMania in 2020. It became a two day event and has remained a multi day affair since.  

WWE SummerSlam 2026 Details 

WWE is part of the Group Holidays in partnership with Minnesota Sports and events, today announced that Minneapolis will host WWE SummerSlam over two nights on 1 August and 2 August, 2026 at the US Bank Stadium.

The 2026 edition of SummerSlam will be the first Premium Live Event in Minneapolis with TLC table ladders and chairs in 2019 and it will mark the first time WWE will host a stadium event in their city. The massive two night event WWE and MNSE will deliver a host of fan and community events in the days of the WWE SummerSlam. 

US Bank Stadium is a world class venue situated in a city with rich wrestling history and an amazing fan base. This announcement comes on the heels of a record breaking ticket on sale event for this year’s summerslam which will take place at Cleveland Browns Stadium on 3 August. SummerSlam set a gate record for any event with $8.5 million. 

US Bank Stadium is the home of the Minnesota Vikings, is a state of the art indoor facility in the heart of Minneapolis which opened in 2016. The stadium has hosted several high profile events such as a NCAA men’s final four etc.
